I have always loved the smell of nature. The earth. The sweet smell of flowers and the grass is as strong as coffee.
My garden may not be the best in the neighbourhood but walking barefooted on the grass in the evenings and early mornings as I talk to the flowers and plants around me make me the happiest houseowner.
It has been 12 years leading a country living in Bukit Sentosa, several lightyears away from the city.
We may have to pay the major portion of the North South Highway chairman's salary to get to work daily but once home, all the problems in the office are forgotten...well almost.
I may not have achieved what I wanted yet. A fish pond, for instance and I am still looking for the right plants for the nooks and corner of the compound
But everytime I mow the garden and smell the freshly cut grass (that would be once in every 10 days), I know I am going to achieve what I have visioned in my dream, to turn the garden into an Eden.
